Lanzhou, known as Jincheng in ancient times, is the provincial capital and political, cultural, economic and scientific and educational center of Gansu Province, an important central city in the western region, and an important node city of the Silk Road Economic Belt.

The "Lanzhou Jinchengguan Yellow River Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone" project is located at the foot of Baita Mountain Park in Lanzhou City and the north bank of the Yellow River. It is connected to Zhongshan Road by the Yellow River Iron Bridge. It is located in the core area of Lanzhou City and is currently one of the important urban attractions in Lanzhou City. The total area of the project is about 33.1 hectares, and the planned total construction area in the renovation and upgrading plan is about 110,000 square meters, including the construction of open commercial blocks, resort hotels, and riverside landscape belts.
